ABOUT

OceanIIOcean was born in 2020 to married duo Daim and Anjali who were living in two separate countries. Not only was it befitting their life but style as well. Daim had a background in computer programming and Anjali had found her passion for writing at 11 years old. Game development seems like the next best step for both creators. Anjali had become addicted to watching let's plays from many Youtubers and thought it was time to make one of her own. So she talked Daim into making what was supposed to be a small 30-day project that turned into a full-length multiyear project. And as they say the rest is history.

OceanIIOcean dreams of creating fantasy worlds whose anchor is in relatable trauma as well as tackling social and global issues. Both the player and the MC will experience a wide range of emotions as our focus lies in storytelling and the characters you meet.

OceanIIOcean – RV Blue

The name OceanIIOcean came about from wanting to create a team with members that were from different locations and wanting to have players from all over the world. So, OceanIIOcean was born when Anjali decided that there were too many games that were more focused on the quality of pixels and not the quality of the plot.

In December 2021 they started working on their first game between regular 9-5s and children. Anjali worked hard on the blueprint for the project and eventually ended up commissioning others to work on the illustration and music. Unfortunately, there were many setbacks between switching artists, getting sick, and trying to balance life and work. The expected release date of The Longest Year's prologue is September 2022 and will be released free to the public. The game's full release is to be sometime in December 2023.

Anjali is the writer and overall idealist for OceanIIOcean's games. Born and raised in New Jersey she now resides in New York. She is a professional writer with zero ounces of illustration skill but she didn't let that stop her dream. Between poetry, short stories, and more recently 10-minute plays, Anjali has added video game writing to the list of skills. The drive of a rough childhood and eventually making a family of her own allowed her to share her trauma through video games for your enjoyment. She also loves reading, anime, vinyl records, and her most recent obsession TTRPGs.

Daïm is a Hungarian-Canadian algorithmic artist, who uses the tools of his trade for game development as part of the OceanIIOcean team. He is also Anjali's occasional brain-storming partner in crime when she's plotting out the compelling adventures and challenges awaiting the heroes and anti-heroes of our lovingly crafted indie games. Beyond his artistic and technological entanglements, Daïm collects art, watches animé, enjoys both classical and speculative literature, and is above all a family man at heart.
